DESCRIPTION:Date/Time: September 12\, 2022 | 7:30am to 3:30pm \nLocation: Heritage Hotel (Yorkshire Ballroom); 500 Centerville Road\, Lancaster PA 17601 \nWho should attend? \n\nHealthcare Professionals\nSchool Staff\nThose personally affected by suicide and/or interested in learning how to prevent suicide or cope in a chaotic world\n\nHow will this conference help me to grow as a person or professional? \nSTEP 1: Identify the issues\nThrough this conference\, we will identify and understand how recent national and worldwide unrest has affected mental health and increased the potential risk for suicide in the general public\, school-age children/facility and staff\, mental health consumers; as well as their clinicians/caregivers. \nSTEP 2: Prepare you with the skills needed to prevent suicide\nThis conference will help prepare the attendee with specific skills to recognize various suicidal warning signs across the lifespan\, identify resources to foster assistance\, and equip them with tools to intervene during a crisis while the American culture is facing extraordinary challenges. \nSTEP 3: Thrive in your home and business (and help others do the same)\nOur overarching theme is to increase people’s ability to cope\, attaining and remaining resilient\, gaining awareness of suicide preventing strategies and local/national resources. \nLCSPC and Conference Mission: \nThe conference enhances Lancaster County Suicide Prevention Coalition’s (LCSPCs) mission in “partnering to create a responsive\, compassionate community and to eliminate suicide through education\, advocacy\, and support. Together\, we envision a community free of the stigma associated with suicide and mental illness that is supportive of all those affected by suicide.” \nWho will be speaking?
