Peer Education

A Peer Educator is someone who has journeyed the experience of having a mental health disorder and has embraced the concept of recovery and wellness.  Our Peer Educators offer their personal recovery story, lead discussion groups & trainings, act as a panelist or speak in our community. Ask about a Peer Educator for senior centers, hospitals, prisons, schools and community-sponsored events.

Please contact MHA at to schedule an event with a Peer Educator, or to learn how to become one.

Adult Advocacy

Mentorship, education and peer support is what you can expect from an MHA Advocate. By forming a one-to-one partnership with our Advocate, we will guide you to your choice of the most appropriate services, and empower you through ongoing information and conversation. We don’t want you to feel alone.

Contact our Peer Educator at 717-397-7461 or by email at to start the conversation. Let us help you learn to advocate for yourself.

There is no cost four our advocacy services because of the donations of our wonderful supporters, right here in our Lancaster County community.
